Overview

We are currently recruiting a Senior Planner for a manufacturer who are based in Gwynedd.  The role is based on working Monday-Friday regular office hours & you can expect to achieve a salary of up to £35,000.

 

The Role

You will be responsible for keeping production flowing smoothly with the correct amount of materials on an ongoing basis and the optimization of costs. This ensures a steady supply of products to customers and thereby contributing to supply chain service levels. You will create and maintain an inventory schedule by watching trends and customer demands to make sure there are always enough products and manufacturing materials utilizing continuous improvement techniques

Duties:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety procedures are communicated and always followed, whilst co-ordinating outstanding issues for supply chain & production requirements.
  • Manage and prioritise workloads to deliver the required output to service the external and internal customers.
  • Facilitate the development of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advise commercial and escalate teams any customer related problems and assist in their resolution.
  • FGS to be managed to agreed targets in line with your manager and published weekly.
  • Produce a weekly KPI report within the planning function in line with your manager.
  • Attend and lead the Sales & Ops meeting every Month for planning highlighting and dealing with issues raised & any capacity issues
  • Line plans reflecting all line requirements.
  • Generation of weekly/monthly/quarterly line plans
  • Highlighting any bottlenecks or capacity constraints
  • Support the Sequence of production runs to optimize changeover times.
  • Generate manpower and labour requirements weekly/monthly quarterly.
  • Schedule outloads in line with plans

 

The Person

  • Previous experience in food operations and working to KPI’s.
  • Line management experience within FMCG industry
  • PC Literate, including general IT skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
  • General understanding of HACCP, COSHH, QA & Management Procedures
  • General understanding of hygiene & health & safety procedures
  • Ability to improve team performance in terms of line efficiency, cost reduction, waste reduction and quality standards.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills for effective reporting
  • Good organisational, communication and time management skills
